PLAT DU JOUR: A CULINARY ACTION

March 27, 2026 in selected projects

Plat Du Jour: A Culinary Action is an interdisciplinary dialogue between an artist, a writer, and a chef. The project explores the realities of home and female identity through the rituals of food and sustenance. Drawing from Charlotte Perkins Gilman’s 1903 study, The Home: Its Work and Influence, the work examines domestic dynamics through the lens of the female homemaker.

In this installation, food functions as both a medium of labor and a catalyst for social connection. The multimedia exhibition integrates performative acts and live cooking, culminating in a communal dinner experience.
