A woman moves back and forth between her obligations as a homemaker and her aspirations as a ballerina by exploring her ability to execute certain balancing and dance acts. Her strengths and vulnerabilities become visible through repetitions and transitions and illustrate the emotions of a woman interrupted by her domestic reality and exhausted by the effort to perform. The homemaker - 2018, duration 10 mins
During a familiar bread making routine small but significant and symbolic gestures emerge to signal desires and tensions associated with the domestic reality and perception of home. Until the end it is unclear if the homemaker appreciates or rejects her role and if failure or success prevail in her quest to create a home.
Breathing to the South (NSEW) - 2019, duration 9 mins
One of a series of video performances where a 3F ballon is blown in various locations and in direction to all point of the horizon. The works are part of the “Stories from inside the Bubble” 2017-ongoing project. The balloon is the representation of the bubble, a place of safety, protection and containment but also a word to signify life in an echo chamber, disconnected from reality.
